don't know how many of u guys play at Knight Online (K-Empire atm)
should be really fine if they provide us the chances to play a similar one for GW Factions ^^
here my idea about this event:

Lunar War:

Lunar War is a mega PvP event where each Regions (EU, KR, AM) tries to get control of the opponents area. You must be level 20 (with all skill points) to enter the war. Only 1000 players from each Region are allowed to join.


Commander
1- 10 minutes after the start of Lunar War, the guild leader of the best ranked guild will become the commander.
2- If the commander leave during the game, a new commander will be immidiatly nominated.
3- If there are no more guild leaders playing in this moment, an officer of the best ranked guild, with the more fama points, will became the new commander.
4- The commander should use some kind of commands in order to command all the users. Command will show on top of the screen.
5- The commanding authority will not be lost even if you get killed.


Taking Control of Enemy's Base:
Leader NPC •The player that kills the Region Lord NPC will have their name appear on the top portion of the screen.
Taking Over •When the player kills all the NPCs in the enemy's base, the base is considered to be taking over and a notice will appear on the screen.


Jail
Jail •Players will be sent to Jail after they get killed in a battle.
Jail Door •Jail door opens every 3 minutes for 20 seconds.
Protection •You're only safe in your own nation's jail


Requirements For Winning Lunar Gate War:
1 Kill all enemies NPCs
2 If there are no winner after the regular wartime (1st hour), then the nation that killed the more NPCs is the winners.
3 If the both nation have kill the same number of NPCs, then the nation that killed the most users will win the war.
4 If the winner is still undecided from requirement 1-3, then the nation that lost the previous Lunar Gate War will win


Invading The Defeated Nation
Invading Gate •When the winner is decided, the winning nation's players can invade the enemy's country. Everyone from the winning nation will able to teleport to defeated country.
Defeated Nation •The defeated nation's players will be teleported backs where they previusly was. (in the defenders area)
Safe Zone •A small area near the enemy base entrance in the defeated area will be the save zone for the invader. The invader will spawn in this safe zone. You will not be attacked within this safe zone.

Village Battles:
Flag Tower •There is a Tower in each village.
Possession •If the invading nation get control of the tower, the possession of the Village will be turn over to the invaders.
When the invaders have taken over the village:
a)A notice will be display stating "XXXXX village has been overrun".
b)From the invaders that are within 100 meters from the monument will be awarded with Moral Boost.
c) If the invader defend their tower for 2 minutes, they will be awarded with moral boost.
d) From then on; a Moral Boost will be awarded every 2 minutes.
When the defending nation retakes its village from the invaders:
a) A notice will be displayed "XXXXX village has been captured"
b) When the defenders recapture their village from the invaders, defenders that are within 100 meters from the tower will be awarded with Moral Boost.
c) The defending nation will only be rewarded when they have retaken the village from the invaders.

Winning the Lunar War:
After 1 Hour from the start of the Invasion, Lunar War Ends.


Rewards:
Standard drops from the NPCs and Green Items from bosses.
Character that kills an enemies NPC with no DP --> 20 Factions + 25 Xp
Character that kills an enemies NPC with DP ----> 25xp /XX% of DP
Character that kills a Region Lord ---> 500 Factions + 1.000 Xp
Character that kills an enemies Player with no DP --> 20 Factions + 25 Xp
Character that kills an enemies Player with DP ----> 25xp /XX% of DP
Character that kills a Commander ---> 1.000 Factions + 2.000 Xp
Characters that Win a Lunar Gate War ---> Gold and Green Items randomly dropped + 5.000 GP each
Characters that Win a Lunar Gate War ---> Gold and Green Items randomly dropped + 10.000 GP each
Commanders get's double rewards.

^- great feedback.

Sounds like a fun suggestion with some finetuning needed, but we don't know how Factions wars will go, apparently we will have lots of areas that guild alliances take control of and fight for, which might be more or less similar to what has been suggested, so let's just wait for now

1000 pepople? Seem like way too many people.
And why is it call a lunar war?

Big battle is fun, but unsure how well the GW system support it. But I think it could be done, with some finetuning and seperations....
The reward is a bit high too....

Yes, why not?
But a 1000 people, maybe a bit to much. But I see the problem. If there's only 100 people that participate you could almost never join the battle as all places will be out in a sec.

He is/was Knight Online player. Its copy of their Lunar Gate War... .
